RISE is the woman-owned business of me, Barbara Ling. I’m a work-at-home professional who wrote the initial best-selling book on Internet recruiting back in 1998 (the only resource to have won 5 stars from Inc. Magazine). Author of over 20 books/ebooks, I have won accolades from sites such as The Fordyce Letter and other recruiting-related authorities.

My over a decade of employment at firms like AT&T, Lucent and IBM as a Internet consultant, lead unix systems administrator and systems engineer have taught me effective problem-solving techniques that greatly enhance my educational recruiting materials. I have been profiled in many publications and sites, including Monster.com, the Wall Street Journal and more.

Additionally, my years of educating others how to use their software and environments have enabled me to teach in an easy, informative fashion that emphasizes creativity instead of rote activity.

From 1999 to 2002, I single-handedly created and delivered the entire RISE curriculum to thousands of students all over the country. During that last dotcom boom, I traveled all over the country giving riveting onsite Internet recruiting seminars.

During the dotcom bust, I turned on a dime and taught entrepreneurs the secrets of Internet marketing….as well as mastered the art of autoblogging, followup marketing, entire site creation and more. I wrote 6 books during this period….and have now returned to my original passion, teaching Internet recruiting.

Due to feedback and also the constraints on my time, I have retooled RISE to focus on eSeminars and home study. This form of teaching allows you to get the knowledge you require from the comforts of your home or office. instead of onsite visits. Yes, I am available to customize onsite training for your company, but unlike my other products, it’s priced at the higher end of the spectrum.
