RISE KBMorning all,

This neat little bit of information is just a sample of the goodness you’ll receive from the RISE Recruiters Private Membership.  Enjoy!

Have a great job position available?  Highlight the benefits!

Benefits are more than simply monetary.

Do you offer medical/dental? Vacation? A smashing 401K plan? Are your perks above and beyond the rest of the industry?

If so, that’s a powerful reason for someone to consider you.

Perks go ‘way beyond mere material offerings, however. Many companies are opening up to flexible work schedules, allowing employees to take off Friday afternoons or be home when their children arrive from school.

As a mom to 4 kids, let me tell you….family-friendly is a big big thing!

Focusing upon the family well-being can be a wonderful benefit. You don’t have to be flush with cash, either to incorporate benefits that will stop future employees dead in their tracks when they are picking and choosing from various employment offers.

Consider:

  • Is your business environment one in which “fun” is encouraged?
  • Do you have a casual dress code?
  • Does every department have a free coffee machine, complete with gourmet (or even instant) coffee?
  • Are you close to schools/nursing homes?
  • Does the company reward innovation?
  • Are there "names" within the industry working at the company?

Remember – answer the WIIFM question – What’s In It For Me?

Gone are the times when one could expect to work from cradle to grave at one specific corporation; professionals nowadays have to keep their skills sharpened constantly to meet new challenges.

Candidates are always looking out for number one (ie, themselves), so make sure your job posts highlight the non-tangible goodies they’ll receive by taking your position.  And even though the economy nowadays is a weeeee bit dismal, you lose NOTHING whatsoever by taking the time to make the job seekers feel you’re trying to woo them as well.

Enjoy,

Barbara Ling
