Twitter!Morning!

If you’re a recruiter, chances are…you probably want to excel in this industry.  Okay, true, I highly doubt that anyone will say, Jeepers Barb, I was shooting for mere plainess and incompetence!

But I digress.

One of the best ways to really catapult yourself above the thundering herd is to learn from the masters.  And I’ve gathered a nifty list for you to do just that!  Today’s post will center upon Twitter.

Now, you’ve heard of Twitter, I assume?  It’s a neat microblogging platform that allows you to send messages of 140 characters or less.  Believe it or not, it’s mushroomed into a HUUUUGGGGEEEE success online…and if you choose your followers wisely, you can be alerted to some pretty savvy recruiting goodness online.

Here are some of the masters of the recruiting industry I follow (and if you want to follow me, you can at Barbara Ling):

There are other ways of finding Twitter recruiters too, of course.  You can check out a great list over at Recruiting Blogs – it’s called: Follow Me On Twitter.

And a rather savvy individual named Steve Rubel created a nifty Twitter search engine over here.  Check out the responses for

Twitter is definitely a tool you should include in your recruiting tools and techniques – it’s a great way not only to stay in touch with fellow recruiters but candidates and clients as well.  And if you need some nifty Twitter Humor, don’t forget to see if you qualify for:
