Job SeekersQuick!!!  Stop what you’re doing and tell me the following NOW!!!!!

Do you…..<gasp!> post jobs online?

Well, okay, hmmm, since you’re recruiting online, that’s kinda sorta like saying, do you know how to open the garage doors BEFORE driving your car out?

Yep, common sense indeed.  Let me be a weee bit more precise with my questioning…..how ’bout:

Quick!!!  Stop what you’re doing and tell me the following NOW!!!!!

Do your job postings deliver the quality candidates you deserve?

Ah.  That’s a bit better now, wouldn’t you agree?  See, the action of posting jobs is simple, even a gecko could do it (so long as that gecko was educated by a caveman, of course).  Get a job req, devise a title, add some copy/paste goodness, click "POST!" and voila, your job posting is sent on the adventure of a lifetime over the bits and bytes of the Internet, to be joyfully devoured by quality job seekers within a 5 mile radius of the company.

Or is it?

Hell no!  Alas, gentle readers, the plain facts ARE…..your job post is just one out 3,294,195 similar beasties that are scrambling to grab the same job seekers by the throat and demand they read.

What are the chances YOUR job post will snag their attention first?

Hmmmm?

You see, because most job seekers have the attention span of an ADHD toddler hyped up on 35 ice cream bars when they’re in "scan mode", you have only a few seconds to intrigue them enough to click on YOUR job post first and foremost.  And the easiest way to achieve this is to include a superbly crafted job post title that compels further exploration.

I was reminded of this this morning when I read the Daily Dose from Nicky510…and blogged about it over here

The whole point focuses upon attracting your audience FIRST…and once you have their eyes glued to your writing, delivering ABOVE and beyond expectations.

During this week, I’ll be writing a series of posts that will show you how to increase the quality of your job seeker recipients.  But if you can’t wait, you can get the whole shebang over at my RISE Private Membership Recruiter Knowledgebase - it will flatten your learning curve dramatically.

Enjoy,

Barbara Ling
