Find AND Compel Passive Candidates To Your Recruiter Website

Morning!

Ever have an insane urge to uncover passive quality candidates for free?

Even better…ever have an uncontrolable urge to accept passive candidates into your network for future marketing purposes?

Oh, and I forgot to mention – view is as a passive candidate would (ie, someone NOT currently looking for a new position).

Back already?  Great!  now tell me….

What does your recruiter site offer a person who has no interest in a new job?

Hmmmm?

If the answer is, Ummmm, "Nothing"…you have a BIG problem on your hands.

See, even if someone isn’t interested in a job right NOW…chances are, they WILL be sometime in the future ("future" being defined as next month, next year, next decade, next….you get what I mean).

So…you need to have something compelling on your recruiter website that will cause passive candidates to give you their email address (for followup marketing).

Some things to include might be:

  • Candidate Resource Center (ie, links for how professionals can increase their salary, deal with idjut people on the job, etc.).
  • Industry Newsletter (so professionals can get weekly career tips from you)
  • Association Links (so professionals can network with THEIR peers)

Of course, one those passive candidates are at your site…you need to compel them to sign up!  You can achieve this by including an optin form in your website sidebar ("Sign up for our career newsletter!" "Get Salary Projections in your Industry!" etc.etc.etc.) or other means
